Wanda Edmonds

Vice President of Operations

With over fifteen years’ experience in the entertainment industry, Wanda Edmonds is the ultimate professional.  Wanda’s love and appreciation for jazz led her to one of her first jobs in the entertainment industry at one of the nation’s finest jazz and supper clubs, Blues Alley in Washington, DC.  While at Blues Alley, Wanda began volunteering at a production and entertainment company in the Washington DC area, PKB Arts and Entertainment.  She was quickly hired full time and advanced from Production Assistant to Vice President within 3 years.  Wanda went on to function in the same capacity at another production company in the DC metropolitan area, Concert Support Services (CSS).

Wanda has booked talent the world over on multiple continents and overseen various production aspects of music festivals and events including negotiating artist contracts with industry agents and managers, managing payments with million dollar plus budgets, and overseeing logistics for all festivals and events. Some of the music festivals include the St. Lucia Jazz Festival, the Bermuda Music Festival, Ghana Jazz Festival, Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival, Cayman Music Festival and the Durban Jazz Festival to name a few.  Eventually Wanda started performing the same functions for top award shows broadcasted on BET Jazz, BET J and Centric – subsidiaries of Viacom and worked on such television productions as the Soul Train Awards, Centric Top 10 and the Great Debate.  She also applied her versatility and industry relationships to work on projects with The Office of Cable Television Film, Music and Entertainment (OCTFME) for an event celebrating DC’s Emancipation Day holiday.

Having worked with countless music legends throughout the world at some of the most coveted festivals featuring the likes of Amy Winehouse, UB40, EWF, Stevie Wonder, Sting and many more has established her as a credible industry executive. She has been an integral part in the success of multiple festivals and television productions in the US, the Caribbean, Africa and India.  Some of her proudest and most memorable productions include working on the 50th Anniversary commemorating Bloody Sunday in Selma, Alabama entitled “Centric Celebrates Selma” as well as with Stevie Wonder and Sting at the United Nations “Stevie Wonder with Friends: Celebrating a Message of Peace”.
