Martine Charles, President & CEO of M.A.R.C. Global Communications, is a highly skilled communications strategist with expertise in brand development, creation and execution of integrated marketing & communications campaigns, media relations, public affairs, and crisis management. She has held executive positions at top media entities such as CNBC, where she was instrumental in launching ground-breaking political and financial CNBC/MSNBC programs.
She is also currently Chief Communications Officer for marketing juggernaut LIQUID SOUL, and PKB Enterprises where she leads strategic communications, corporate partnerships, social causes, and marketing campaigns for a robust cadre of clients including the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Philip Bailey’s Music is Unity Foundation, the City of Baltimore Public School System, The Congressional Awards Foundation, the Multicultural Media Correspondents Association (MMCA), the ACLU as well as numerous entertainment, sports, and Fortune 500 Businesses, and brands. She is also the co- Executive Producer of Cleo Speaks! the #1 program on TV One’s new women-centric network, Cleo TV.
Previously, Charles was President of PRO Sports Communications, where she handled business development, created and executed communications strategies and provided media training for notable sports, entertainment and corporate brands including the NBA‘s Memphis Grizzlies, the Chicago 2016 Olympic Bid, USA Swimming, SONY Pictures Home Entertainment , The History Channel, SONY, REMY, the BET Music Awards, TV One, Toyota‘s sponsorship of the 2007 Brooks & Dunn Tour, the Toyota-United Pro Cycling Team, Rock & Republic’s Rock Racing PRO Cycling Team and Team Type 1 PRO Cycling Team, and numerous others.
Her background also includes, positions as Vice President of Corporate Communications for VH1 and RealNetworks, Inc., (Nasdaq: RNWK), and executive positions at CNBC and other top media entities. Among her accomplishments, Charles served as communications strategist for the Real Networks vs. Microsoft Antitrust case and steered positioning for VH1’s Save the Music Foundation. Charles also assisted in the development of communication to position CNBC as an accessible financial tool for the general public, and was instrumental in launching the network’s ground-breaking political and financial programs.
